What is Platform 3?

Platform 3 is an online route to completing the Level 3 accredited qualification: Supporting Children and Young People’s Speech, Language and Communication

 

Platform 3 enables practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds to gain an accredited qualification in this vitally important area completely online. This means that not only will you have access to all the information you need but can complete your assessment online too! Once enrolled, you’ll be allocated a tutor to guide and support you throughout and you can study at your own pace, around your work and family life. What is involved in completing the qualification through Platform 3?

To successfully achieve the Award you must complete three units – two of which are mandatory and then you choose one from four options. These have been developed to appeal to a wide range of learners, so you’ll be able to choose something that’s just right for you and the children you work with!

Each unit consists of a number of assessed learning outcomes. You’ll have access to a full suite of learning materials, with helpful guides and videos on every page as well as portfolio assessment tasks and ‘check your learning’ activities. These activities will enable you to put knowledge into practice and prepare for assessed portfolio tasks.
